Texas · Two Decades in Technology

Hi, I'm Jordan Polasek.

I'm a Texas-based technology professional and the Founder and Managing Partner of BVTech LLC, an award-winning managed IT services provider headquartered in El Campo. My career in technology began in 2004 near the Kemah Boardwalk, and the same hands-on, deeply curious approach I had then is what still anchors how I build, secure, and steward networks for Texas businesses today.

About Jordan Polasek

An owner-operator's take on Texas IT: fewer layers between the person answering the phone and the person fixing the problem.

Jordan Polasek is a Texas-based technology professional and the Founder and Managing Partner of BVTech LLC (Bexar Virtual Technical Solutions), a managed service provider established in 2013. His technology career began in 2004 at the Institute of Robotics in Clear Lake Shores, just outside Houston near the Kemah Boardwalk — but his fascination with computers started long before that. By age nine he was typing at sixty words per minute and calling his ISP to ask about port-flooding on mIRC; the technicians initially thought his squeaky voice was a prank until they realized the questions were legitimate.

From those early self-taught Windows 3.1 days through robotics, an unusual five-year detour as a partner in a Texas sleep lab (where he became a Certified Polysomnographic Technologist, CPSGT #294), and full-time IT training at Blinn College and MyComputerCareer Houston — culminating in Certified Ethical Hacker coursework — Jordan has built a practice that draws from far more disciplines than most MSPs can claim. He has served as a lead technician at a regional MSP responsible for thousands of endpoints across Keller Williams, Massage Envy, and Massage Heights, and brought that scale-tested operational discipline home to BVTech.

That structural commitment to owner-operated delivery is the reason BVTech's 2023 SuperOps Solo MSP of the Year recognition meant something. The award is juried — eight independent panelists — not paid, and measures delivery quality from a one-principal practice, not headcount or revenue. BVTech took first place against a global field of hundreds of solo-operated MSPs.

Alongside client work, Jordan Polasek is pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Technology in Cloud Computing at Northwest Vista College while carrying a 4.0 GPA, with one to two semesters remaining before graduating with honors. He holds active AWS and 1Password Enterprise Password Manager certifications and works daily in Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti UniFi, 3CX, DialPad, Guardz, and SuperOps.

Through BVTech LLC, Jordan Polasek delivers managed IT services, cybersecurity, cloud administration, VoIP, and network infrastructure to businesses across San Antonio, Houston, Austin, New Braunfels, Sugar Land, and El Campo. On-site support extends 150 miles from Central Texas; remote support is nationwide.

Microsoft Copilot licensing, tenant-side data boundaries, workflow automation through Power Automate and n8n, and pragmatic AI-voice experiments — adopted only where they earn their keep.

📋

IT Consulting

Technology roadmaps, vendor management, HIPAA and PCI-DSS compliance guidance, cyber-insurance application support, and budget planning for businesses scaling from five to fifty employees.

The Story

A Brief History of Jordan Polasek in Technology

The path from a squeaky-voiced nine-year-old asking his ISP about port-flooding on mIRC, to a robotics classroom near the Kemah Boardwalk, to an award-winning MSP headquartered in El Campo — written honestly, in the order it actually happened.

Pre-2004

Childhood Self-Taught Beginnings

I was fascinated with computers from very young. By nine I could type at 60 WPM. I figured out how to secure my Windows 3.1 machine — and helped my schools secure theirs. One teacher and I were the only people on campus with email addresses at the time. I'd call my ISP asking whether I was being port-flooded; they thought I was pranking them, but the questions were real. That same curiosity has never gone away.

2004

Institute of Robotics — Clear Lake Shores, near the Kemah Boardwalk

My formal technology education began at the Institute of Robotics outside Houston. PLCs, control systems, low-level networking, and the discipline of making a physical installation legible to the next person who has to work on it. Everything I've built since runs on that same principle: every cable labeled, every port documented.

2005

Sleep Lab Partner — Texas

I became a partner in a sleep lab and stayed long enough to learn how to run a business and acquire a deep working knowledge of sleep medicine. It was a brand-new field at the time — formal schooling barely existed — so I learned on the job and out of thick textbooks. The medical documentation discipline I picked up there is something I still carry into every IT engagement.

2006–2009

Blinn College + CPSGT Credential

Computer Science and Psychology coursework at Blinn College, alongside formal certification as a Certified Polysomnographic Technologist (CPSGT #294). I loved helping patients but decided being nocturnal wasn't sustainable. I knew the same helpful, caring, careful approach would translate directly into computer science — a field I'd already shined at since childhood.

2010–2012

MyComputerCareer Houston — Through Ethical Hacker

Full-time technology training: foundational PC and networking knowledge all the way up through Certified Ethical Hacker coursework. While in school I continued running a small break/fix business — every concept I learned in class got tested in real client environments the same week.

2013

BVTech LLC Founded

Bexar Virtual Technical Solutions LLC was formed as a one-person consultancy focused on small-business networking, Windows domains, and break/fix work. The first clients were medical offices and retail — a client mix that still anchors the practice today.

~2016

Break/Fix → Full Managed Service Provider

The times were changing, and so did the company. BVTech transitioned from a break/fix repair model to a full-fledged MSP — monthly contracts, proactive monitoring, RMM-driven maintenance, and per-user pricing. Documentation, SLA discipline, and vendor-neutral architecture became core to the firm's identity.

~2019–2022

Lead Technician at SD-Tech — Enterprise Scale, Solo Practice Continued

A larger MSP recruited me as their lead technician — with the unusual arrangement of keeping BVTech running on the side. I was responsible for thousands of endpoints across Keller Williams, Massage Envy, and Massage Heights. They learned some of my approach to documentation and architecture; I learned how a real MSP operates at scale. Truly unique experience for both sides.

2023

SuperOps Solo MSP of the Year — First Place 🏆

Things picked up at BVTech to the point that I had to step back from SD-Tech and return to solo operation. The same year, BVTech took first place at the SuperOps MSP Awards in the Solo MSP category — judged by eight independent panelists, scored on delivery quality across hundreds of worldwide MSPs. Nice rooms, a dinner, a monetary award, and the right to display the award on the company website. After two decades of careful work, an outside check that the work has been good.

2024–Present

Cloud Computing Degree (4.0 GPA) · Northwest Vista College

Enrolled in the Bachelor of Applied Technology in Cloud Computing program at Northwest Vista College. Coursework covers AWS, Azure, containerization, Python-driven infrastructure, and cloud security — all of which flow directly into the environments BVTech builds for clients every week. One or two semesters left before graduating with honors.

2026

Currently — Caretaking, Still Working, Looking Ahead

Much of my time and resources right now are going toward my dog Autumn, who is fighting cancer. BVTech continues to run, clients continue to be cared for, and I'm still aiming for more recognition like the 2023 SuperOps award — but a lot of life has shifted to her. If you can help, please do: read Autumn's story.

💬

Owner-Answered Phone

When you call BVTech about a problem, you talk to someone who knows your environment by heart. That is the entire product.

"The right IT partner is not the one with the biggest logo. It is the one who already knows which switch port your credit-card terminal runs through, which user has local admin rights they shouldn't, and what your backup did last night. After two decades, my job is to be that person for a small number of Texas businesses — and to do it better than a team of ten." — Jordan Polasek, Founder of BVTech LLC
