Every credential listed here is active and current as of April 2026. Where certifications expire, they are maintained through continuing education or renewed on schedule.

Professional Certifications

AWS Certified

Issued by: Amazon Web Services

Core cloud infrastructure, services, and architectural patterns. AWS certification underlies every cloud engagement BVTech takes on — from lift-and-shift migrations of small-business file servers to designing new workloads native to AWS from the beginning. The certification is maintained through Amazon's continuing-education requirements and kept current with each major service release.

1Password Enterprise Password Manager Certified

Issued by: 1Password

Credential vaulting, access governance, and integration of 1Password with identity providers like Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace. 1Password EPM certification matters for small Texas businesses more than most owners realize: the majority of breaches I see in Fort Bend County and the Hill Country start with a re-used password. Proper vaulting, combined with MFA, measurably eliminates that attack surface.

Academic Work

Bachelor of Applied Technology in Cloud Computing

Active enrollment in the applied-technology bachelor's program focused on cloud computing at scale. Coursework covers AWS architecture and operations, Azure identity and hybrid infrastructure, containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), Python for infrastructure scripting, cloud security fundamentals, and networking for cloud environments. Maintaining a 4.0 GPA while running BVTech full-time is a deliberate discipline: the academic track keeps the production side of the practice honest about current architecture.

Platform Expertise

The following are the day-to-day platforms on which Jordan is hands-on proficient and deploys routinely for BVTech clients. This is not a list of products Jordan has read about; these are the ones he configures, troubleshoots, and documents from memory.

Cisco Meraki

Enterprise networking, cloud-managed switches, firewalls (MX series), wireless access points, and camera systems. Primary choice for BVTech clients who want the single-pane-of-glass management experience and can absorb the subscription model.

Ubiquiti UniFi

Full UniFi stack: Dream Machine Pro and UDM-SE gateways, UniFi switches, Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E access points, UniFi Protect video surveillance, UniFi Access control, and UniFi Talk phones. The pragmatic choice for Texas small-business budgets where the enterprise capabilities are needed but the subscription weight of larger platforms is not justified.

Microsoft 365, Azure, and AWS

Microsoft 365 tenant administration (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Entra ID), Azure identity and hybrid infrastructure, and AWS cloud workloads. Identity design, conditional access policies, and data-loss-prevention rules are the first things we build when onboarding a new BVTech client; most had default settings that were dangerously loose.

3CX & DialPad

3CX for self-hosted and cloud IP PBX deployments with SIP trunking. DialPad for cloud-native business communications with integrated messaging and conferencing. Selection between the two is driven by client profile: heavy call centers tend toward 3CX, distributed professional-services teams tend toward DialPad.

Guardz

Multi-layered cybersecurity platform for SMBs: endpoint detection and response, email protection, dark-web monitoring, phishing simulation, and security awareness training. Guardz is BVTech's default security stack because its pricing aligns with Texas small-business budgets and its detection quality holds up against enterprise alternatives.

SuperOps (PSA & RMM)

Professional Services Automation and Remote Monitoring & Management. SuperOps is the operational backbone of BVTech's client-delivery practice: ticketing, documentation, monitoring, patch management, and reporting. BVTech's 2023 Solo MSP of the Year recognition came from this same platform.

Industry Recognition

SuperOps Solo MSP of the Year 2023 — First Place

Awarded to BVTech LLC and Jordan Polasek as the top solo-operated managed service provider worldwide in 2023 by SuperOps. The award is juried by the SuperOps team and its advisory community of practicing MSPs, and measures client outcomes, delivery quality, and practice discipline rather than revenue or team size.

Ongoing Learning

Credentials are a floor, not a ceiling. Jordan attends a regular mix of practitioner-level technical webinars, participates in MSP peer groups, and maintains active lab environments for AWS, Azure, Microsoft 365, and the UniFi platform in order to test changes against realistic scenarios before they touch client production. The 4.0 GPA cloud-computing coursework is the most visible piece of that, but it is far from the only continuing-education work underway.
